Security
Dialog BoxesBefore the program appears on the page for the first time on a computer, a security dialog box will appear asking you to give the software permission to act like a program installed on your computer. These security dialogs are depicted here:
| For Microsoft Java |

| For Sun Java |

| For Apple Java |
![]() |
The security permission is needed for many functions of the program. If you choose to grant the security permission for one time you will see the dialog again the next time you load the software; it is easier to grant the trust on an ongoing basis.
Some security dialogs offer hyperlinks to view information about the digital certificate or the company producing the software. In some cases clicking the hyperlink results in the security dialog being hidden by other program windows and you need to find the security dialog to continue.
