The SimulConsult diagnostic software includes a Prognosis Table that illustrates how a disease evolves over time. The Prognosis Table has been well received by both clinicians and patient families.
To help track the evolution of findings in a diagnosis over time, the Prognosis Table now includes information about the pertinent positive and pertinent negative findings in the individual patient.
The subtleties of onset are displayed, as illustrated in the image below:
- Brainstem atrophy was present with onset unknown.
- Microcephaly was absent.
- Motor developmental delay had recent onset.
- Intellectual disability had onset at 1 year of age (the @ onset option in the software).
- Hyperreflexia was noted at 3 months of age, but may have occurred earlier (the ≤ onset option in the software)
The image below has a link that loads the software with the findings of the patient and displays the Prognosis Table. On that screen there is a button to the right of the Prognosis Table to click to get a PDF version of the table.
SimulConsult’s Patient Chat program has a version for follow-up visits for patients with a known diagnosis. The output launches the main software with the patient’s information entered onto a Prognosis Table.
